Join Local Walks and Bike Events
There are plenty of such events in various cities across the US supporting people suffering from MS. These events aim to raise funds needed for the research, which is still in its early stages. If you are interested, you can pass the message to your colleagues at work to create a group that will participate in the events.
Additionally, you can nudge your employer to provide entry fees for all the employees interested in representing your company at the events. This will be a sure way to raise money for the cause.
Conferences and Speakers
Virtual and in-person gatherings are the trend during the MS awareness month. The topics covered during these gatherings include training on how to cope with life in MS and the latest updates from research and news. Additionally, people get to be trained about how they can offer support either in-person or virtually.
Attending Virtual Events
In addition, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America hosts a lot of other podcast episodes, webinars, and speakers who are experts in the topic. As such, you can have easy access to cutting-edge insights and research results from experts from the comfort of your home.

Being virtual, these events are easy to take part in no matter where you might be. MS organizations range from local to global and are known to hold yearly conferences and meetings and other webinars and gatherings all through the year.
An excellent example of this is the National MS Society Public Policy Conference takes place in Washington D.C. At this event, there are more than 300 events, and they all focus on activism and support for MS.

Volunteer for MS Awareness Month
If bike races and conferences are not the things for you, there are many other ways that you can get involved in the MS awareness month without too big of a commitment. Finding a local MS community in your area is the best way to get started.
Here, you'll be able to find various ways to offer support as well as guidance on the volunteer opportunities where your help is most needed.
Some of the typical roles you can undertake as a volunteer include peer counseling on the phone or in person, activism, and fundraising. Things might even get exciting, and you are asked to call your local politician asking for help with legislation that will make communities more inclusive and accessible for people with MS. Clinical trials are another opportunity to volunteer and is quite helpful for research.
