Grief is not just associated with the death of a loved one, it is also associated with lots of losses, changes and transitions that we experience in life such as relationship breakdown, job loss, acquiring an illness or disability and covid restrictions
This workshop aims to support delegates to feel more equipped to work with people around the issues around grief, loss, change and transition.
We will look at some of the theories associated with grief and loss. In addition, we will explore and practice some skills that maybe useful when working with people.
The workshop or handicap session will be facilitated using a mixture of presentation, discussion group and experiential activities to explore these themes
This workshop might be useful for anyone in a supportive role such as Teachers, Support Workers, Youth Workers, Community Workers, Counsellors, HR professionals or anyone in a supportive role assisting with loss, change or transition.
