Our mission is to establish and communicate the systematic obligations of the collaborative group of special needs students with-in the Lakehurst School District while improving district-wide special education policies, procedures and programs.
We aim to empower parents of children with special needs to be involved in advising on matters pertaining to the education, safety and health of all students with learning differences within the district and provide parents become an effective advocate for their children.
We have formed our volunteer based group of individuals under the state mandated-law(N.J.A.C. 6A:14-1.2(h)) so the disabled children within our community under the Federal Laws(I.D.E.A and Section 504) are provided a free appropriate public education accordingly.
