It is important for substance use disorder professionals and mental health counselors to be aware of clients who present with co-occurring sexual compulsivity, more commonly known as sex addiction which can trigger SUD relapse. This workshop presents what sex addiction is, common behaviors, neuroscientific understandings, etiology, addiction interaction, the differences between sex offending and sex addiction and therapeutic recovery tools.
Objectives:
1. Recognize the clinical presentation of sex addiction
2. Understand sexual compulsivity versus normal variations of sexuality
3. Learn sexual sobriety tools
1 Credit Hour
Time: 10AM - 11:30AM PST
