Training for teachers and school leaders  who are new to implementing the NCCD or would like a refresher.

About this event

Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about ways to meet their obligations under the NCCD.


The online disability events training program requires a commitment of three sessions, the first one is for 3-hours during the day and the subsequent sessions are 1 hour in the afternoon after school. Registration is only required for the first session, participants will automatically receive a reminder email with details for Session 2 and Session 3. Please note the session times below in your calendar.

This activity is supported by funding from the Australian Non-Government Reform Support Fund (NGRSF). Please discuss costs associated with attending training with your relevant Catholic School Authority (CSA).

Registration

Participants are required to register individually with their work email address to receive a ticket to attend. This training is online. It is expected participants will be available for the duration of the training session (i.e., have no other commitments such as teaching or duty).

Following registration, participants will receive a zoom link prior to the sessions.

  • Session 1 - 3 hours (during the school day)
  • Session 2 - 1 hour after school (Wednesday 24 August from 3.15 - 4.15pm)
  • Session 3 - 1 hour after school (Thursday 25 August from 3.15 - 4.15pm)

Who should attend?

This workshop is suitable for teachers or school leaders who are new to implementing the NCCD model or would like a refresher.

  2. Implementing the NCCD requirements

What to bring

  1. A learning folio of a student included in the 2021 NCCD count (either digitally or paper based). You will be investigating this portfolio in preparation for the 2022 NCCD count.
  2. A laptop or tablet. You will be using the NCCD website during this workshop, please ensure your device is fully charged and ready for the day.
