Lambeth VAWG reflective spaces allow practitioners from Lambeth to come together to discuss particular VAWG issues, gain advice and share best practice. It’s a space to think critically, and challenge and explore barriers and processes.
This session will focus on supporting survivors with disability. However, you are welcome to discuss any area of VAWG relevant to your work
We are pleased to be joined by colleagues from the Respond and Stay Safe East. Respond supports people with learning disabilities, autism or both who have experienced abuse, violence or trauma in their life. Stay Safe East is a unique user-led organisation run by disabled people, providing specialist and holistic advocacy and support services to disabled people who are victims/survivors of domestic or sexual violence, hate crime, harassment and other forms of abuse.
The handicap session will be unstructured and last 1.5 hours.
Please ensure all discussions are confidential and identifying information about those involved is never given.
