Cloverleaf Advocacy is offering the Introduction to Advocacy training which will be accredited with Continuous Professional Development Certification (8 CPD Points). There is also an option for learners to continue on to the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy.
This online training is delivered over two sessions, both sessions must be attended to gain the CPD Certificate. Both dates run from 9.30am until 12.45pm.

Our Introduction to Advocacy training meetings the requirements of the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy. The assessed training has a credit value of 4.

The course is aimed at anyone who has an interest in Independent Advocacy, you do not need experience and would be useful to those new to the advocacy role, anyone aspiring to volunteer in advocacy, individuals who work in the health and social care sector and those seeking advocacy skills relevant to self –advocacy, peer advocacy or support work.
The course covers the principles of independent advocacy, the independent advocacy role, communication skills, equality and inclusion within independent advocacy.
The four learning outcomes are:
For those learners who wish to go on and achieve the City & Guilds qualification, they must successfully complete one assignment for the mandatory unit. You will go on to work with an assessor and have access to our online portfolio.
