Intensive Interaction is a practical approach to interacting with persons with Learning Disabilities. It can be helpful for people who are still at an early stage of communication development and may be finding it difficult to be social. It can help persons with a Learning Disability and their family members, carers or staff connect with each other.
This event is a brief introduction to Intensive Interaction - we will show you some examples of Intensive Interaction, explain what it is, who it is for, and talk about its advantages and why you might want to use it.
Intensive interaction is a positive approach that can be used with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
Come along if you want to find out more about Intensive Interaction or if you are considering using it or introducing it. This disability events will be suitable for family/carers or health or social care workers, at any level, who are working with people with a Learning Disability.
