About this disability events
What comes to mind when you hear the term disability? One in four adults in the U.S. have a disability, yet many of us are still learning how to incorporate disability into our DEI plans. This session will help to bring awareness to the audience about disabilities, barriers to inclusion, and why now is a good time to hire people with disabilities!
Participants in this handicap events will learn the following:
• What is a disability?
• Types of disabilities.
• Barriers to inclusion.
• Awareness.
• Why companies should hire people with disabilities.

Schedule:
We will allow guests to enter the online meeting between 8 - 8:15 a.m. Guests will be able to connect with one another via the chat function to catch up with other guests they know and introduce themselves to attendees that they don't know.
We will begin introductions and announcements promptly at 8:15 a.m., with the presentation beginning shortly thereafter. The presentation will be approximately 60 minutes in length.
Speaker Biographies:
Sam Criss, joined Tangram as its President and CEO in January 2021. He has served in senior leadership roles in non-profit and governmental organizations for more than 20 years, including serving as Deputy Director of the Department of Child Services and Deputy Chief of Staff to Indiana’s Attorney General. Sam lives in the Geist area with his husband David and two Italian greyhounds, Chase and Nemo.
Kari Sheward, previously acted as Clinical Director for several autism clinics across Central Indiana. She earned her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis after obtaining an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ball State University and a Master’s of Science degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue Global.
